Unlawful Immigration Detainment
Donation protected
My wife has been unlawfully detained by the Customs Border Patrol and the US Government. She was returning from a business trip to Liberia when she was detained. She was held for 8+ hours before she was even told what was going on. She was not offered any food or water during the entire time. She spent another 6 hours before she was finally arrested.
She is a mother of three beautiful children and grandmother of a 3-year-old boy, who all are desperately missing their mother and grandmother. She has a bachelor's degree in Nursing and is a business owner who employs 25 people who depend on the earnings from their job to live. She has been married for almost five years to an American citizen. She is and has been a leader in the Liberian community for many, many years. Former president of local chapters and currently on the board of directors of the local organization representing Liberians in Minnesota. She has been a volunteer during the Ebola outbreak back in her home country, setting up and teaching people how to be safe during this incredibly trying time. She has dedicated her life to helping people and is currently taking care of vulnerable adults, providing care and housing for people living in the community.
This trip was not an unusual trip, as she had made this same trip as recently as two years ago. Since she has made this trip many times, why would there be any concerns? Now we find ourselves fighting for her safe return and are desperately seeking your assistance. Looking from the outside, it's easy to be sympathetic, but when you are the ones who this is happening to, every minute of the day seems like an hour. So many emotions that you go through. One minute you are okay, then crying, then angry, and the cycle begins all over, day after day.
