Uniting for Vinny

On the 27th December our beloved Vinny was found collapsed on the bedroom floor of his home, by his wife, my mum.

Immediate contact was made to 999 and during the wait for the ambulance CPR was administered.

When the ambulance arrived, Vinny was admitted to A&E. Later that night Vinny was transferred to the ICU as unfortunately his condition deteriorated.

Vinny was then was placed onto life support, which he still remains on till this day.

Vinny has suffered from Compartment Syndrome which is a complication of sever Rhabdomyosis.

His Kidney's took a severe hit and consequently he needs permanent dialysis.

Doctors are still trying to save his right leg, but unfortunately they were unable to save the muscles that control the use of his right foot.

We have had so many wonderful people reach out and ask what they can do to help. We are so grateful for the love and support being sent to us, especially to my mum.

The horrible situation we find ourselves in has naturally led to emotional, physical, mental and financial strain.

This GoFundMe page is to help with Vinny’s families outgoings, including rent and bills. But to mainly help support Vinny is his recovery both physically and mentally, whilst in hospital and then at home.

The full extent of damage is still unknown, however this is a massive life event that will impact all day to day activities for Vinny for the rest of his life.

I want to make sure that Vinny and my mum are well supported, financially and emotionally. Allowing them to focus on a positive road to recovery.
