Unite to Reform - for PR & a progressive alliance

Who we are:

An independent organisation made up of political and electoral campaigners, legal experts and psephologists from widely ranging backgrounds. Our advisory council includes members of Labour, the Liberal Democrats, the Greens as well as political independents who support change.

What do we do ?

We are campaigning for progressive parties to work together and to adopt common priorities to include electoral reform.

We are working within and outside of parties to achieve a common platform, and then ensure that campaigning and targeting strategies are aligned though electoral agreements, formal and informal. We see removal of the current government as the number one priority if we are to move back towards a closer relationship and re-established ties with the EU.

What is the common platform ?

An internationalist approach including a close relationship with the EU.
Tackling the climate emergency.
A progressive agenda on the economy and public services.
The maximum possible devolution of power and closing the prosperity gap across the UK.
Constitutional reform including PR for the House of Commons.

What experience do we have ?

We facilitated and negotiated the Remain Alliance at the 2019 General Election between the Liberal Democrats, Green Party and Plaid Cymru.  The evidence is that this helped to boost the votes for the candidates over and above all other factors. We have also advised other political parties and politicians and have excellent high level contacts in all UK Parties. Whilst the 2019 result was disappointing the ability, and beneficial impact of Parties working together was proven and with the election of an incompetent and isolationist Conservative government the need for progressive and internationalist politicians and campaigners to work together has never been more needed.

Why your support is vital:

Every donation will help us to reach more supporters and politicians helping to promote and organise a progressive alliance. Funds will help us to maintain our social media presence, attend the Party conferences and other key meetings of opinion formers, meet with influential executives, campaigners and politicians from the Parties, commission key polling and research and keep the activity going until the next General Election.

This is a real and unique opportunity to impact on the result of that election, and change British politics for good.
