Hi, I’m Ed and I’m doing a sponsored unicycle ride from Alnmouth to Tynemouth to raise £1,000 for something very close to my heart: youth circus bursaries.

I’m raising enough to fund three young people to join Cirko Norda Youth Circus for a full year. This will cover all their training, show opportunities, and access to our incredible community.

Why It Matters

Circus changes lives. It builds confidence, trust, creativity, and connection. I’ve seen firsthand the transformational power it has, especially for young people who might not normally get the chance to be part of something like this.

About Cirko Norda

Cirko Norda, meaning “Circus of the North,” is a unique, non-competitive youth circus programme for ages 7 to 18 based in Newcastle upon Tyne. It’s the only programme of its kind in the region and brings together aerial, acrobatics, juggling, clowning and more.

The programme is inspired by European circus school innovation and the global social circus movement, making circus accessible, meaningful and magical.

Each year, Cirko Norda performs across the country at festivals including

• Brighton Fringe

• Durham Fringe

• Glastonbury Festival (A dream coming true...)

• Ouseburn Festival

and many more

Our young artists train hard, create amazing shows, and form friendships and skills that last a lifetime.
