Many of you know Unicorn, our school crossing guard, who is out there every morning making sure our kids get to school safely. He arrives long before the first bell, often around 6:00 a.m., to set up, check the area, and be ready when students start crossing.
Unicorn is part of the fabric of our school community. He decorates the posts for holidays, comes to school performances and programs, remembers birthdays with small gifts, and is always friendly and welcoming to families and neighbors. He quietly helps with the little things too, taking in garbage cans, greeting parents and siblings, and offering a smile on tough days.
Recently, Unicorn’s car broke down. He would never ask for help himself; in fact, when asked, he simply said, “Don’t you worry about me.” But we all know that having reliable transportation is important for him to continue doing what he loves each day.
Our goal is to help with the car repair and to provide some additional support for other needs that may come up, whether that’s transportation costs, groceries, or anything that would make things a little easier for him. He has taken care of our community for years, and this is a chance for us to take care of him.
Any amount is appreciated, and all funds will go directly to Unicorn.
Thank you for your support.
