Hi, I'm the LA band Precious Child and I'm handing out freezy pops to the unhoused.

I'm giving out Freezy pops and water because there's a heat wave in Los Angeles with temperatures possibly reaching 110°.

It's difficult for the unhoused to get out of this heat. In my opinion, they deserve food, shelter, water, and they also deserve niceties. So I dk what I can to fill the gaps.

Every week, I give out food and supplies to the unhoused. When it's hit, I do popsicles. I always get the strongest reaction to the popsicles. People love them and are shocked to receive them.

They aren't a lifesaving thing or "functional", but a moment of comfort and delight can mean a huge amount when you are struggling on the sidewalk day after day.

I don't believe that people must make a lot of money or any money at all for society to give them a decent life. Isn't that the point of society? To make a life good for everyone?

The heat wave is gonna last through Monday and so I'm raising money to cover the costs. Every dollar will go towards these Freezy pops and water and unfortunately, there's a lot of people who are unsheltered.

My friends and I drive around the city for these distributions. We aim to serve the people on the ground, on the asphalt, on the concrete.

I try to do this every heat wave in Los Angeles and your support has helped to make it happen. This is my third!
