Unexpected Truck Fire—Help Us Get Back on the Road

On June 30th, while driving home from work on the freeway, my truck suddenly shut off and caught fire. Thankfully, I was the only one in the car and managed to get out safely, but the vehicle was completely lost. Since then, it’s been incredibly difficult to manage daily life for my family and me. We rely on two cars—one for my fiancé to get to school and one for me to get to work and take care of our family’s needs. Now, with only one car, it’s a constant struggle to find reliable ways to get to work and handle our responsibilities.

I never thought I would be in this situation, and asking for help is not easy for me. Unfortunately, the truck only had liability insurance, so we’re not receiving any help from insurance to replace it. Financially, we’re not in a position to replace the truck on our own. The stress of not having dependable transportation is growing, and it’s affecting our ability to support our family. We’re not looking for anything fancy—just a safe, reliable car to help us get back on our feet. Any funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a used car, covering registration and DMV costs, and helping with temporary transportation while we search for a replacement. The day of the fire, I was overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers who stopped to help and made sure I was okay until the firefighters arrived. Their support inspired me to reach out for help now.
