Unexpected death of Officer Tyrell Owens Riley

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

On behalf of our family, thank you for taking
time to read this heartfelt message. My name is Tasia and I'm the proud little sis of Tyrell Owens-Riley.

Our loving and sweet Tyrell is no longer with
us and the impact on his unexpected passing
has been devastating.
He was the glue that held us all together. That
legacy will continue as we honor and love him
from here.

Tyrell, who served as a dedicated Master
Police Officer with the Columbia Police
Department, experienced a medical emergency during a work-related physical fitness training event on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
He later suffered a cardiac arrest at a local
hospital.

A Columbia native, my brother served with
CPD for the past 7 ½ years and was most
recently assigned as a patrol officer in Metro
Region. Before his law enforcement career,
Tyrell served with distinction with the United
States Marine Corps and bravely represented
his country during the Afghanistan War.

At this time, we are respectfully asking for
kind donations to help maintain the stability of
his young daughter and family left behind.

Thank you in advance for showing your love
and support in this time
