Purpose of Fundraiser

Do you want to join us in making a difference? We're raising money in aid of Under One Sky CIO and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

Tournament Entry

To enter this year's chess tournament we ask for a minimum donation of £50 to Under One Sky via this Go Fund Me page.

Tournament Format

Tournament participants will be allocated to one of four groups: Embankment, King's Cross, Soho or Victoria based on chess playing strength. Each group will comprise a maximum of eight players allowing for 32 entrants in total. Participants will then battle it out in their respective groups in paired blitz chess matches (five minutes per player with no time increment) over seven rounds in a single round-robin format. The winner of each group will receive a prize.

More information about Under One Sky CIO: Our mission is to work with others to end homelessness. For us this means supporting those affected to move from surviving to thriving in life, not simply putting a roof over somebody’s head. Our main activity is outreach in the UK where our teams walk the streets to connect with our homeless friends and provide life essentials, practical help and befriending. Through our work we also aim to expand the public’s understanding of the root causes and the human reality of homelessness.
