Under One Roof Food Pantry Fundraiser

Ok friends and family, it’s all hands on deck time…

Tonight, during a CMF board meeting, we heard from a representative of Under One Roof. It is part of the Wake County Division of Health and Human Services. They, like many non-profits and governmental agencies, are struggling. One service that has been hit particularly hard is their food pantry. There have been cuts in funding and actual food donations, and they are expecting more. The people who receive service at Under One Roof are low income folks who often attend appointments at the center with the motivation of receiving food. And, as we were told tonight, people aren’t focused on getting their meds when they have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.

So, in honor of my dad’s heavenly birthday that just passed, I would like to make a donation to the food pantry in his name.
