My younger brother, Van Sui Ling is stranded as a refugee in Delhi, India with his wife and their three daughters. Before the Burmese Military (SAC) led by General Min Aung Hliang staged a coup on February 1, 2021, he worked as a civil servant and lived happily with his family in Thantlang (Htatalan), Chin State of Burma/Myanmar. As a civil servant and a Christian, he participated in a Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) against the Burmese military junta and quitted from his post. Because the SAC burned down the town of Thantlang, the town that fiercely resisted its illegitimate ruling, Van Sui Ling's family house was turned into ashes. Where they seek refuge in Delhi, India under the protection of UNCHR, Van Sui Ling and his family have faced many hardships including issues with proper accommodation, livelihood, and education access for the children. Therefore, we (Unaurual), a group of five relatives who live in Texas, are trying to bring them to the United States through the Welcome Corps Private Sponsorship Program and we will greatly appreciate your financial contribution to our cause.
