On March 28, my stepfather was killed while at work. He was a vital part of our home and helped cover half of our household expenses. After his passing, a heavy burden fell on my mother.

She had to stop working for a month to handle everything related to the funeral. We were already one month behind on rent, and with no income, things have become extremely difficult. My mom has been looking for work, but hasn’t found anything yet.

I’m only 16 years old and legally can’t work yet, even though I would do anything to help her. That’s why I decided to create this GoFundMe. I’m not expecting to raise a lot—just enough to help with groceries or basic needs would mean so much to us. As for the rent, I know we’ll find a way somehow, but right now we need a little support.
