Un hogar para crecer, un hogar al que volver.

¡Hola a todos!

Somos YAMBA, una ONG sin ánimo de lucro formada por un grupo de personas comprometidas con el bienestar infantil y con el objetivo de ofrecer un hogar seguro, educación y oportunidades a niños en situación de vulnerabilidad en nuestra comunidad.

Actualmente desarrollamos proyectos educativos, de alimentación y apoyo emocional para niños y niñas que han perdido el cuidado de sus familias o viven en condiciones de extrema pobreza.

Hace unos años, durante la pandemia del COVID-19, nuestro mundo se vino abajo: la persona que financiaba todo el proyecto falleció repentinamente y, con su pérdida, los que ayudamos se quedaron sin un hogar.

Durante este tiempo, gracias a la colaboración solidaria de colegios locales, hemos logrado que los niños puedan permanecer en las escuelas también durante las vacaciones. Pero esto es solo una solución temporal.

Hoy en día, tenemos 35 niños que necesitan con urgencia un hogar. Son pequeños de entre 4 y 16 años, provenientes de familias desestructuradas, víctimas de violencia, abandono o situaciones extremas de pobreza.

Kiiza, Rose y Peter, junto con los demás niños, sueñan cada noche con poder despertar en un colchón que sea suyo, en un lugar donde puedan sentirse seguros, queridos y protegidos.

¡Y PARA ELLO NECESITAMOS TU AYUDA!

Queremos construir un orfanato con capacidad para 50 niños. Ya contamos con el diseño arquitectónico- el cual podreis ver en las fotos- , el equipo de obra y la dirección técnica. Ahora solo nos falta conseguir la financiación necesaria para hacerlo realidad.

La construcción estará dividida en tres etapas:

ETAPA 0 – Muro de protección

Esta fase busca garantizar la seguridad del terreno, protegerlo de intrusiones y delimitar el espacio del proyecto.

• Derribo de parte la edificación en mal estado existente

• Adaptación de la cimentación

• Construcción de la estructura

• Instalación de la cubierta

• Instalaciones eléctricas y sanitarias

Y NO TE LO PIERDAS! Steven y Samuel, nuestros artistas, que ya han pintado el mural de decoración de nuestro gallinero, se encargarán de plasmar en un mural todos los nombres de los que haréis hecho posible nuestro sueño!

¡Estan muy ilusionados! En cuanto les hemos contado la propuesta han empezado a pensar ideas de diseño para el mural. ¡Os iremos informando!

Hello everyone!

We are YAMBA, a non-profit organization made up of a group of people committed to children's well-being. Our mission is to provide a safe home, education, and opportunities for children in vulnerable situations within our community.

We are currently running educational, nutrition, and emotional support programs for children who have lost the care of their families or live in conditions of extreme poverty.

A few years ago, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our world fell apart: the person who was funding the entire project suddenly passed away, and with their loss, those we were helping were left without a home.

Since then, thanks to the generous collaboration of local schools, we’ve managed to ensure that the children can stay in school even during the holidays. But this is only a temporary solution.

Today, we have 35 children urgently in need of a home. These are children between the ages of 4 and 16, coming from broken families and facing violence, neglect, or extreme poverty.

Kiiza, Rose, and Peter, along with the rest of the children, dream every night of waking up on a mattress that belongs to them, in a place where they feel safe, loved, and protected.

AND FOR THAT, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We want to build an orphanage with the capacity to house 50 children. We already have the architectural design — which you can see in the photos — the construction team, and technical supervision. Now, all we need is the funding to make it a reality.

The construction will be carried out in three phases:

PHASE 0 – Perimeter Wall

This phase is meant to ensure the safety of the land, protect it from intrusions, and define the project space.
