On May 5, 1998 my little sister, Linda, was born with Joubert Syndrome Type Two. Linda was a late walker, typed to communicate, had a kidney transplant at age 13, and passed away from liver failure one year ago at age 24.

While Linda suffered lifelong medical illness due to her Joubert Syndrome, she thrived in other aspects of her life. Linda was the smartest person I ever met, and very, VERY funny. She graduated High School from Kingsway Learning Center in 2019 and completed a Certificate in Health and Nutrition from Camden County Community College.

After graduating from High School, Linda found a lack of programming for adults with disabilities like her. While she was able to accomplish an online certificate program, college was not the right fit for her due to her medical issues- neither was working.

Before her passing, Linda began dreaming of programming for people like her that both respected their disabilities while providing engaging lifelong learning. Linda was a passionate environmental advocate and wildlife conservationist. She also enjoyed cooking, art, music, and Captain Underpants. Linda dreamed of programming inclusive of all her interests at an adult level.

In her memory, my mother and I founded Linda's Day Farm, Inc. to make her dreams come true. Linda's Day Farm, Inc. will hold programming in Central New Jersey, USA.

You generous donation will help us make Linda's dream come true and keep her memory alive.
