About Us. We are non-profit foundation, organized to help ill and disabled people of Ukraine to survive.
What we've done so far: After purchasing two ambulances in Poland, wwe've taken over a dozen trips there and back (each trip is 1,500 km/800-miles). We’ve brought over 10,000 pounds of products for humanitarian aid to Kharkiv and evacuated around 50 adults, 10 kids, 3 dogs and 2 cats and a pair of guinea pigs.
Why we need your help?
We need your help to fund our mission to save lives. We’re currently raising funds to purchase a second ambulance, to be able to double our efforts and the number of trips we can take. Gene- Please think about rephrasing to “double our effort and expand our service to the Kyiv (the capital of Ukraine) route. Your money will help not just to purchase critical supplies we take into Ukraine, but also provide the transportation to take PEOPLE to safety. Every life matters!

Who we are?
We are Gene Volchenko, Aleksandr Ostapenko and Ruslan Zinchenko, a group of former marine college roommates, former merchant marines, currently concerned Ukrainians a “Good Samaritans” who strive to provide aid directly to people of Ukraine in Crisis . We are from different cities of Ukraine. But we are united in one goal- find a way to help, even if we are not physically there.
Gene Volchenko, formerly a merchant marine, grew up in Kharkiv, studied in Kherson (Kherson Marine College and Odessa (Odessa State Marine Academy). Moved to Chicago in 1999 after the Soviet Union collapsed and after Ukraine declared its independence and started a journey to establish democratic lifestyle.
Alex Ostapenko, formerly a merchant marine, grew up in Kakhovka, studied in Kherson (Kherson Marine College). Moved to Kyiv and opened Businessclarity organization to help companies automate and manage their P&L, investment and overall business affairs.
Ruslan Zinchenko, formerly a merchant marine, grew up in Dnepropetrovsk, studied in Kherson (Kherson Marine College) and Kiyv Polytechnic University. Stayed in Kiyv and worked as chief electrical architect in many local organizations designing electrical solutions for complex industrial and civil projects.
So far Gene has invested over $10,000 of his own money, but we need more to keep this team running. We’ve also raised over $30,000, but we’re not stopping here.
After five trips, we are not stopping. With each trip, we learn of more crises: elderly starving in their homes, kids and cancer patients unable to escape without a proper transport system (ambulance); doctors running out of basic medical supplies, scalpels, sutures, needles, bandages, etc.
