Hi there,
My name is Justyna, I was born in Poland, but I call Australia home.
In April/ May I will be travelling to Poland to assist Ukrainian children and women by volunteering.
I’m reaching out to you to raise money, which 100% of your donations will go direly to support Ukrainian children and women who have crossed the border into Poland. Most have crossed the border with next to nothing, with their husbands, brothers, fathers, uncles remaining in Ukraine to fight.
Many Poles travel to the Ukrainian border to collect women and children; some do this day and night. Petrol is expensive. Many Poles have taken in families. The need for supplies is endless. This is the largest humanitarian disaster since the Second World War.
We can't all travel overseas and assist with the war effort or the resultant humanitarian crisis, even though we feel the pain of the Ukrainians. But we can play a small role in contributing to the efforts to help those who can directly help. My travels are all self funded, with 100% of the proceeds going to supplies and support of Ukrainian mums and bubs.

A bit about me. I'm a mum of two Seb (9) and Helenka (2), married to Nathan. Many have asked me about leaving behind my family to travel in such unstable times. Its a great question, it was not a decision we made lightly to leave my family behind. I feel it in me to act on my values and to use my privilege in a way which can assist others. My babies are safe, loved and supported by family, friends and the community. This is a real team and community effort.
We can all play a small part, and this is a way you can directly contribute to the efforts to help those who can directly help.
