Ukrainian Pet Shelter Supplies: Storage & Transport
Donation protected
I’m Peter.
Thanks to generous friends I receive large donations of pet supplies in support of the Pet Shelters in Ukraine who help to care for animals injured, abandoned and traumatised by the war. I am raising funds for the volunteers who transport the supplies. I am one of these volunteers. I collect, store and transport supplies to collection points in England. A full truck costs nearly £4k per return trip to Ukraine; typically my collections cost between £150 and £200.
In total there are about 7 trips each year to Ukrainian pet shelters. I had to let my storage unit go due to the increased costs, so I am storing at my home in the study, spare bedroom and garage as the quantity of donations increases.
Every penny raised will be used to support the transport costs and it will be reported every month on my Facebook page.

Transport Costs
1. Paw Help UK - Ukraine Humanitarian Mission.
Contribution of approximately £200 every 3 months.
Deliveries are taken by Dan Sandford to Lviv and sent via Nova Poshta to the various pet shelters across Ukraine. We have never lost a single parcel and the shelter owners send photos confirming the safe arrival of the supplies.
2. Steve Hodgson - volunteer driver
Contribution of approximately £100 every 6 months
For smaller loads we may use Steve who takes his truck of mainly humanitarian aid to the danger zones in south and east Ukraine often taking supplies to his home town Odesa. Steve can send via Nova Poshta for destinations not in his itinerary.
