Ukrainian Hub Dun Laoghaire fundraising
Our Ukrainian Hub in Dun Laoghaire was the first Hub opened in Ireland to help displaced Ukrainians (10th of March).
We started out providing clothes, shoes, toiletries, stationery, toys and more to recently arrived displaced Ukrainians free of charge.
As the number of Ukrainian visitors grew rapidly we quickly realised that we needed a bigger space, so we were able to secure a unit in Dun Laoghaire shopping centre.
All of our stock is donated and the hub is run and staffed by Irish, Ukrainian and Russian volunteers.
Four months later we are still helping Ukrainian arrivals, however they need more than just clothes and shoes. Our Hub has become a place to meet, ask for advice on jobs, English language classes, resolve cultural differences and get help with public services.
We are now adapting the Hub to cater better for these needs. We aim to help and support Ukrainians with integrating into Irish society.
We do not charge a fee for any of our services so we are completely dependent on donations to help cover the costs of running the Hub. These costs are directly related to operating our premises, and providing the products and services we deliver to Ukrainians in Ireland.
Please help us keep this essential service running for as long as it is needed.
