Ukrainian First Responders Medical Supply Fund

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Masha Mitkov. I was born in Ukraine and grew up in a post-Soviet, Russian-speaking community in the U.S.
Since the early conflicts of 2014, my father began sending medical supplies over to grassroots militias protecting their land from Russian invaders. His efforts grew to where he became an international distributor for Medical products manufactured near where he was living in Oregon. Unfourtunately he died fof Covid in 2020, and there are now other individuals taking over from where he left off. Sending DIRECT LINES of help to those who need it the most.

People in Oregon repackaging medical supplies in their homes to send to Ukraine.

Then, a woman based in the Czeck republic who had worked with my dad before, reached out to me through my father's fb asking if there was any availability of tourniquets. They were in dire need. I tried connecting her with people sending medical supplies over, but the connection didn't seem to be happening. I ended up just ordering a batch of 453 high quality tourniquets (thanks to the help of my mother's retirement savings) and sending to her contact Poland, who then was able to get them to Ukraine and distributed among the Medics of Ukraine on the front lines.

They have sent thank you videos and also a list of other first response medical supplies they are in dire need of.

Though aid has been coming in from governments and militaries, these organizations move at a glacial pace, while we as individuals, are quick and nimble, can pivot at a moment! I started this fundraiser as a way to have yet another DIRECT LINE of help, bringing supplies to those that need them.

The Polish Government charged 25% in Government taxes for the tourniquets (even though it was repeatedly explicitly stated that this was a donation to Ukraine), so I have decided to fly to Poland and bring the supplies as luggage on the plane. This seems to be by far the most effective and efficient way to get things from point A to point B.
I booked a ticket and made a post on Instagram and people have been very supportive! So far, I've been able to get a couple of portable patient monitors from a distributor here in Southern California (#1 on the list), and they came the next day!
There's also some small stuff that they have requested, such as Ultrasound Gel and splints, for which I've made an amazon wishlist for those that want to purchase specific things, though I'd prefer to go directly to the distributors.
People have asked me to make a gofundme for this situation, so if you'd like to donate to this cause, here is a place you can do it!

Thanks,
Masha
