My name is Olya Batsula and I am rasing money for essential aid for the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Kharkiv is a historic city and the 2nd largest city in Ukraine. It is located just over 20 miles from Russian boarded and as such has been a target of invasion. Daily shots and explosions has become a new normal for the citizens. Marshal law and curfews are in place. People are scared and tired and supplies are running low.

Why do I care about this particular city?!... I am an American citizen and have lived here since 2005, but I was born in Kharkiv and majority of my remaining family (including my sister) is currently there. I get daily updates on the true events and the situation is dire. Medicine, sanitary items and food supplies are running low. Even if it is possible to buy something in stores... people do not have any resources to do so.

After doing an extensive search into any potential local help from major organizations, I've decided to take matters into my own hands for this city that is dear to my heart. I still am in support of donations to large organizations such as Red Cross, etc. Unfortunately, larger organizations can be focused on bigger picture too often or even be targeted while transfering aid. This fundraiser and 100% of proceeds will go directly to volunteers on the ground doing work now, so the impact can be made immediately.
