Ukraine families getting started in Germany

Hello, friends and acquaintances. :)

 

Arthur and I are hosting three families who fled their homes due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We have three moms and their four children staying with us until they can figure out their next steps. Nine of us in our one-bedroom apartment!

 

One family is the wife of Arthur's cousin (Natalya and her two kids; Nazar and Nasta). The other two families are friends of Natalya. (Victoria & Kyril and Natalia & Daniel). Their dads are still in Ukraine to support the front line.

We walked around Hamburg last weekend, and it was a bright sunny day. We stopped at St. Nikolai memorial for some sandwiches. Shortly after we arrived, the church bells played the national anthem of Ukraine and it was a very emotional moment for them. At the same time, it was a sign of hope that everything would work out and they are safe here in Germany.

 

I ask for whatever help you can offer, whether by peacefully protesting, speaking to your representatives, or donating money for this family. Whatever I can gather for them will be split for their basic needs and support such as groceries, transportation expenses, personal goods, and school supplies. Basically, anything they need to while they settle in Hamburg, Germany.

 

They are very grateful for everything they have today. Arthur and I would be forever grateful for your wishes and support. >3
