Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I will be returning to Poland for a second medical mission on which I will be providing medical care and interpreting for displaced Ukrainians in conjunction with the U.S.-based 501(c)(3)-compliant non-profit organization International Medical Relief. This trip will take place December 4-10, 2022. For more details, please see the below link:
While one can make only a small difference in this immense humanitarian crisis, I ask you to join me in demonstrating that the international community stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. As the harsh winter sets in, a wave of up to 3 million additional refugees is anticipated to seek refuge across Europe amid ongoing shelling of the power grid infrastructure. Without heating and basic utilities, the challenges facing the Ukrainian People are mounting exponentially and our support has never been more critical.
Over the course of two trips, the costs incurred have been significant. For the sake of full transparency, please see a summary of the associated expenses:
- Donation to International Medical Relief x 2 Medical Missions (includes lodging): $3500.00
- Round-trip airfare x2 Medical Missions: $3000.00
- International Malpractice Insurance x2 Medical Missions: $400
- Supplies Donated to Shelters and Clinics: $750
- Miscellaneous expenses (e.g. Notarization of Documents, Ground Transportation, Long-term Airport Parking, On-Site COVID Screening, Personal protective equipment, Food): $500
