Since its formation in late 2020, the UK Weddings Taskforce has worked hard to lobby Government for clear and viable guidelines for the wedding industry, as well as parity for our sector. 

The Taskforce is made up entirely of volunteers who have given up their time and resources to help work towards our shared goals for the wedding sector, but there are some inevitable administrative costs as we strive for recognition and support for the 60,000 businesses and 400,000 workers who make up the UK wedding industry.

So many people have been generous with their time, many others will be able to help contribute financially. Whatever you can give, we really appreciate your donations to help us to work constructively with Government to achieve our aims of support and parity for our industry. 

So far, our work has yielded necessary change, including a revision of guidance for Step 2, which allowed an estimated 7,000 weddings to go ahead. The focus is now on lobbying for positive changes for Step 3 weddings and securing future recognition for our industry. We can continue this important work with your support.
