Hi, my name is Lisa Williams. I’m a local Carpinterian trying to help a fellow community member. I’m asking you to help my sweet friend Cathy Foss. She was contacted by someone presenting himself as a Federal Trade Commissioner. She was told that her SSN had been compromised. For that reason she was told that she needed to put her retirement money into a secured treasury account. They told her that she had to sign a non-disclosure document with the Federal Trade Commissioner, and was told not to talk to anyone about it. She was intimated into releasing her whole life savings & retirement. She was a victim of fraud and the money was sent to Hong Kong with no way to get it back. Cathy is 72 years old, retired a few years ago. Her husband has cancer & she’s devastes that she fell for this scam. She needs our help. This could happen to anyone, anyone’s mother or grandmother. Please consider donating anything you can. Unfortunately she may have to go back to work while still trying to assist her husband with his medical situation.
