Hi, I’m James’ Sister, he is better known as Jim by most. This week my brother was burgled and had the last 20+ years worth of tools stolen, and with it his entire livelihood.

It is impossible to estimate the loss but it surpasses tens of thousands of pounds, hundreds of tools and gardening equipment. Hand tools passed on through multiple generations of our family that he has restored, they have taken absolutely everything, from unbolting chopsaws from the work benches my brother built by hand, to every last drill and drill bit in sight, the disgusting individuals even helped themselves to a beer or two while they went about it all.

He works for himself, is a single dad to a 16 year old who is currently going through GCSE’s, he supports his local community and is honestly the most selfless, big hearted person I know, always on hand to help absolutely anybody without asking for a penny in return.

I know he won’t thank me for setting up this page, he is a proud man who never expects anything for free and has worked incredibly hard for everything he had, but I need to ask all those people that he has mowed lawns and cut hedges for, fixed fences and hand built gates for, fixed lighting and given his time to do all manner of others jobs for with those very tools that are now all gone and to anyone else who just recognises a guy who works his backside off to support his son who now doesn’t know how he is going to earn any money to support his family come Monday morning to please offer your support, in whatever form you are able, a small amount of money towards a tool, tools or gardening equipment you no longer need, or some kind words to encourage him to keep going at the moment, all would be gratefully received, thank you for reading.
