I’m going to be running the Manchester Marathon with James’s sister, Emily on 27 April 2025 in aid of young suicide prevention. The charity I am trying to raise money for is called PAPYRUS, I will leave information about their mission below.

We lost Amelia’s brother James, someone I was hoping to call a brother one day, a real kind and gentle soul. He was just 21 and struggled to talk about his emotions. Not a day goes by where he doesn’t cross my mind. It is truly heartbreaking that suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35.

Completing this Marathon doesn’t just mark a great achievement, it marks the importance of mental health. I believe this cause is so important for our generation and is really close to my heart.

I have earned my Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certification and have already raised money through selling Christmas Trees in aid of Papyrus. I would be very grateful for any donations or a share would be greatly appreciated.

Prevention of Young Suicide: PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide in the UK. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK. We believe that everyone can play a role in suicide prevention and we work towards a society which speaks openly about suicide and has the resources to save young lives.
