First off I’m going to start off by saying this is truly embarrassing, & I hate having to go through this right now. I got evicted in October 2024. I was working as a manager for a hotel & lost my job. At the time my car had been stolen & totaled so I had no transportation to or from work. I also found out I was pregnant in September 2024. Luckily we got blessed with a different car in the beginning of February. (Before then we were having to walk to our jobs and everywhere with all 3 kids) Ever since then the car has given us problem after problem causing me to have to spend my whole entire tax refund on fixing it and having to pay 325$ weekly. We also were putting in applications for places having to pay 50$ for each household

member each time to be denied every single time due to my Eviction. We are currently still in a hotel and recently lost our only source of income not to mention we just had to have my car towed AGAIN to be put in a shop to fix. So we are currently without a vehicle. We were trying to seek help through The Department Of Social Services to help pay for our “rent” for a couple of weeks until We can start a new job and be able to pay our weekly amount of rent for our room. The Hotel we are staying at manager will not accept the DSS check because he will no receive it upfront Dss has to mail the check to him and they said it could take 14-30 days via mail.

We have had to make the decision to try to go to The Homeless Shelter. The only Shelter in Iredell County Who would accept my family has a waiting list. We are currently about to be out in the streets and this was the last thing I wanted to try and do. I have 4 kids. 3 about to be returning to school going into the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade & A two month old babygirl…. They deserve the world and I’m trying!!!! Me and my boyfriend both have interviews this week just trying to figure out a way or place to go in the mean time…. We currently owe the hotel 180$ and they’ve been working with us but idk how much longer they’re going to let us stay…. Anything would help us out at this moment!! Thank you.
