Uganda Missions Trip April 2024

Hey Everyone!

My name is Dr. Onome Oboh, and if you know me, which most of you do, you know I have a love of global populations both locally and abroad. Throughout my medical (and premedical) career I have gone to several different countries funding myself to learn about different peoples and to give of myself. This time I need your help! I am now in my third year of combined internal medicine and pediatrics (medpeds) residency with one year left to go and without the funds to go on this journey.

The community I am going to serve in the Kampala region of Uganda is a faith-based organization that focuses on providing a continuation in the pipeline of support for orphans and families who would otherwise have no avenue to change their socioeconomic status. In short, the organization provides EVERYTHING the people need to break generational issues with health, finance, and spiritual freedom. My role will not only be to provide primary care to these kids and families, but to also share my talents in worship and even help teach volleyball to the kids!! The funds will be used to support my roundtrip flight, lodging, supplies, and food for the two weeks I will be in Uganda.
