"So little done, so much to do". Appeal for Help Rebuilding of Community Post Disaster Nepal EarthqukeHaving said that, there are a FEW EXTREMELY PRESSING ISSUES. The first being, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING during the monsoon rainy season that is about to begin. Please understand that this is not a matter of gentle sprinkle and light showers... it is literally buckets of water dumping out of the sky... for months on end. Imagine living under a tent or as many are -- a plastic tarp. That's not just miserable -- it's life threatening. Seriously.
The other issue that is really essential now is GETTING SCHOOLS UP & RUNNING -- again for those children who have been suffering a lot, post earthquake trauma. Largely the focus is on interim structures just to get kids back in the classroom and keep them dry during the rains. Dear Friends from abroad, please keep in mind that they are on a different style of school calendar that does not take the summer off. And they've already missed so much time and curriculum to cover.
Your kind contributions make it painless for yourself, but trust me when I say, your dollar, your pound, your euro goes a LONG WAY in Nepal.
DON'T THINK IT WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE... IT MOST CERTAINLY WILL.
Current updates
Today 9 June, our team lead by Dasaram is returning back to village with some essential relief aid. Something like 200x Tents, 50 sacks of rice, utensils and some medications.

Situation
As we all aware that the devastating earthquake that has hit the entire nation has left untold pain and misery to the Nepalese people, with the loss of thousands of lives and infrastructure including historical monuments, temples and U.N. heritage sites,
People have lost schools, health facilities and government offices, actually everything. Most of our villages are located in exteremly remote areas; it takes five days to walk to some of them with relief items, but they’re trying their best. People are in a very difficult situation; they’ve lost their family and their children are suffering. They want to go to safe places.”
Activities
So far BCSC Bhujee, Ramechhap has carried out the following activities for the communities;
1. Organized and coordinated two free health camp visit in conjunction with Tamakoshi Hospital Ramechhap which provided free eyes, dental and general health check including medications for almost 500 people of Bhujee and its surroundings areas.
2. We were the first organisation to be able to reach out and provide earthquakes relief aid of 140x blankets, 80x tents, some rice, dry noodle and biscuits to the affected communities of Bhujee and 5x tents and few dry foods to the affected victims of Pharpu, Ramechhap.
Our Goals
1. Short Term Goal: Our comminity was the hard hit one and located in the most remote part of the country. Due to this we priorotised our focus to help the affected communities to rebuild the post disaster crisis.
2. Medium to Long Term Goal: To promote general health and wellbeing of the local communities with a holistic approach - by considering wider issues of the community that affect the health. And continue to organize and co-ord health camp atleast once a year.
4. Long Term Goal: To purchase and donate an ambulance to Bhujee Health Post.

Dear Jaya,
Thank you for your email, which I have sent out to the company. The lads are putting their thinking caps on to raise money for Nepal.
Arthur is arranging a bag pack in Tesco in June and Lee is to organize a sponsored walk.
Will keep you up to date from time to time on progress.
Best Regards
John
Dear All,
As most of you know, we had a communication from our old friend Mick. Mick is in contact with Jay who is an ex-Gurkha officer. Jay had contacted Mick to inform him that he is collecting fund in support of Nepal after the earthquake they had suffered.
Given that yesterday they had a second quake this will be even more important. Some of you like, Lee asked if we could make the CTC ET w/e a sponsored w/e to raise money to give to Mick and hence Nepal.
I took this to the Comdt and CEO and NO objections have been raised. If you can think of any way for raising money, sponsorship, bag packs etc then you can. The only caveat is that every thing is recorded (names and money raised) so that all moneys can be seen and every thing is transparent, it is also a good idea to have two adults involved to record transactions as it is public moneys.
So if you want to raise money "crack on". Arthur it may be harder for you as you live in a Gurkha community and I would imagine there will all ready be lots of fund raising started? Pass this on to your people at Det
For any more information please contact Mick or self.
Best Regards OC
Dear Jaya,
I would be very happy to help.
My school, where I work, raised over £300 last week. Children were asked to put all their spare coins into a basket and we hope to raise more soon.
Take care, Jaya.
Kind regards
Maria
My Nepal, My motherland, My pride:I live in the UK and I am thankful to my destine country privileged with electricity, running water, safe house, enough food, National Health Service and human rights.
Rules and regulations, laws and orders all in lines and unwritten constitutions all commonsenses . Taxed for Better roads, so better transportation and "the time is money."
I am safe and sound but back home in Nepal, I don't yet understand what this all means,
Calamity, It's sad to see nature's destruction continuing so far:
Deadly Earthquake on April 25th. That paralyzed and terrified all.
Then Earthquake again that robbed the self steam and little built courage of hope. Some how people are crawling on their knees. Covering the heads with tarpaulins and tents.
So the wind challenges the shelter with high wind, hell storms and the Heavy rain. So what more can the people take? is this a test?
Then there comes the hills crumbles down in a rush; blocking Kali Gandaki blocking Budi gandaki. Creating dam and so people are catching the fish. What else could there be to think of for name of nature's punishment by the good grace of God. I still don't have an answer.
