Family in need of help

Hi, my name is Paulette and I'm fundraising for my neighbors the Zgirski family. I've known this family from Poland for over 20 years. Two months ago, the husband was diagnosed with liver cancer. Due to language barriers, and not having their rights to services and interpreter effectively explained, his dire health wasn’t clearly communicated, and he was sent home. Recently, that diagnosis has changed to terminal as the cancer has taken over his body, and Sunday they grappled with the devastating decision none of us ever wants - putting this beloved man into Hospice Care for some comfort from his pain.

Adding to their already emotionally raw situation, as they were making those decisions their home filled with smoke. The firemen responding determined it was their furnace breaking down.

This family is now making the tough decisions about what lays ahead both before and after the death of their husband and father, but must do so in a cold home. This family has a very limited support structure and I'm bringing this to all of you in the hopes that maybe we can just make life a little less hard for one family in dire need right now. Please help me reach this goal with the hopes of replacing their furnace, assist with the impending burial expenses, and a small nest egg as they get their feet back under them.
