Foster Ray was attacked last night by his parents’ foster dog. Foster ray is a small chihuahua and was no match for the much larger dog. The incident
came out of nowhere as the two had been living together for several months.

Foster Ray is now at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist where he underwent surgery to repair a severed artery. According to the doctors he had
overcome the toughest part but will have a long road to recovery ahead of him, with the next 12 hours being critical. His parents’ business has
severely been impacted by Covid -19 and they can only afford a couple of thousand dollars to cover his bill which at the moment is over $6000 and
increasing by the hour. They are looking to move Foster Ray to another veterinary  office that offers overnight coverage but are having little luck.

I am writing this on their behalf as I personally know the generous monetary contributions they have afforded to the rescue community prior to
impact to their business. Recently all they could do was foster and that’s what they did and now this happened. Sadly by trying to do a good
deed something tragic came of it. I am sure this will not change their views on what it takes to rescue because that’s just the type of loving people they are.
