About us:

Ramadan at Regency is back for a fourth year running! Our volunteer-led initiative is dedicated to providing delicious Iftars for revert sisters and sisters spending Ramadan alone. We understand that for many revert sisters, the holy month of Ramadan can be a challenging and lonely experience. That's why we have come together to create a community that offers support, companionship, and nourishment during this special time of year.

What we do:

We offer a safe space for sisters to come together and share in the spirit of Ramadan, offering encouragement and emotional support to those who may be struggling. Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where sisters feel valued and supported as they observe this important month of fasting and reflection.

How we do it:

Weekly iftars: We accommodate up to 60 sisters each week in East London, to come together and build a supportive community

Activities and Icebreakers: To help everybody get to know each other and share stories that uplift and inspire

Online community: We offer sisters to option to join our online group to stay up to date with other events for reverts and network with people they've met at our iftars

We rely on donations to run our iftars, to cover the costs of food, drinks, cutlery and additional items such as b for sisters who often find themselves alone around this time of year. It costs us approximately £5 a head to run each Iftar. Feel free to donate as little or as much as you can, we sincerely appreciate and every penny that you can spare.
