Saturday night, while in the care of a foster, this sweet boy had an alarmingly high fever and was in extreme pain. We rushed him to the phenomenal team @truecareforpets where they immediately began treatment. He was given pain meds, had a CT scan that showed an excessive amount of fluid in his chest - usually the sign of a foreign object. The only option to save his life, was to open up his tiny body, top to bottom, and remove the object. What Dr. Soto and her team discovered was mind-blowing. The source of the raging infection and fluid was a whole POPSICLE STICK, 5.5 cm long !! Our sweet boy has only known a life of torture and neglect…. No one has fought for him, UNTIL NOW. We have a FIERCE VILLAGE ready to protect him at all costs. This intricate surgery was a huge undertaking that we were not prepared for.
