Cause for Corbin and family

Hey my name is Reanna.

I am a single mom to my son Corbin who is 8 and my daughter Chloe who is 10. When Corbin was a baby he had some medical issues and after a long stay at a children's hospital, we found out he had severe sleep apnea, where he would stop breathing 222 times in just a hour of sleep.. He had a bipap machine when he would sleep for 2 and a half years and then the doctors said he grew out of it.

Corbin now has began to run into alot of other challenges and new diagnosis as the years have gone on.

We have received an offical diagnosis of autism, adhd/ODD and now recently found out he has periodic breathing during sleep, causing carbon dioxide to build in his blood stream, resulting in sleep deprivation. This can cause irritability, tiredness and behavioral issues.

In the last month Corbin has developed something new... he has been having a form of seizure activity(so far 6 in 2 months). It seems to happen around night time and causes him to convulse, drool and unfortunately he is remembering the episodes happening. The last one he had caused the left side of his face to droop and his left hand to not be able to open and close. He was recentlt given a diagnosis of epilepsy but they are still running further testing such as an MRI, sleep deprived EEG and genetic testing.He has been back and fourth from Kingston hospital and cheo hospital in ottawa. I am unfortunatley unable to work at this time because right now he hasn't been able to go to school full time. Between autism,his lack of sleep and now seizures, his behavior has been escalated and causing trouble at school. Therefore, I have to pick him up from school during the week, which doesn't leave me much time to have a fulltime job and support my family.

I am not really one to reach out and ask for help but it's gotten to the point of needing to now. This has been a tough decision for me to put my pride down and make this page but things have been very stressful and life has become alittle unmanageable for me to stay on top of all this alone.

I'm hoping that others are able to sympatize and understand that any money raised is going towards a good cause.
