Afri-Aus Care UBUNTU Kitchen Renovation

Afri-Aus Care is a not for profit organization dedicated to bettering the African community, bringing together both young and old to support and uplift one another.

Our kitchen has been a home to our mamas, young people, women facing domestic violence and those from refugee backgrounds, serving as the heart of our Women and Youth Programs. From Youth justice initiatives to creating a sense of belonging for all generations, we have built a safe space where people can meet, connect, and share experiences.

As we embark on the renovation of our kitchen, we aim to strengthen this space, ensuring it continues to serve as a place of nourishment, empowerment, and unity. UBUNTU Cuisine is the highlight, celebrating our culture and community through food.

Your raised funds will be used to purchase the following:

1. Tiles - non-slip (black and white or grey preferred) - 50M²

2. Commercial stove with built in oven - 30 Amps or less-5 or 6 burner preferred

3. Exhaust canopy - 1600mm or less

4. Stainless steel double sink (X2) - 1800mm or longer

5. Work benches with storage - 600mm deep or more to cover length of 13 mitres

6. Door and frame - 1300 - 1500mm

7. Island bench - approximately 3M X 0.7

8. Yellow tan floor (chip board) - 50M²

9. Outdoor wood gladding - Length 10M X Height 2.5M
