Help My Mum Live with Dignity After Her Stroke
Hello, my name is Ellie , and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible mum, who suffered a severe stroke over two years ago. The stroke left her paralysed on her right side and non-verbal, changing her life—and our family’s—completely.
After spending over a year in hospital, she finally returned home, but sadly her house is still not equipped for her basic needs. My mum is forced to live in a hospital bed in the living room because she has no way to access the upstairs. The council has not been able to provide a stair lift or a wet room, leaving her without privacy or dignity.
To bathe her, we must take her to a swimming pool once a week—because it’s the only place with accessible facilities. It breaks our hearts that she cannot even shower comfortably in her own home.

What We Need Help With
We are trying to raise £6000 to make her home safe and accessible by:
• Installing a stair lift so she can access her bedroom and bathroom
• Building a wet room for proper hygiene and dignity
• Purchasing essential mobility equipment and making other small home adjustments

Why We Need Your Help
Every donation—no matter how small—brings us closer to giving my mum the comfort and care she deserves in her own home. She spent her life caring for others. Now, we’re asking for help to care for her.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help us reach more people. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story.
With love,Ellie and Family
