Help our Ukrainian family

My name is Andrew Fromer and I married my beloved wife Olya (Vavrenyuk) Fromer in October 2020. Olya grew up in Ternopil, Ukraine where much of her family still lives. It’s a small, city sitting about 110km east of Lviv.

 

As you can imagine, the invasion of Russian forces has changed our lives forever. As of this writing, Ternopil has been relatively left alone, but there has been recent airstrikes on sites to the north, south, and west of Ternopil. The strategically vital city of Lviv is anticipating that more strikes will be coming soon; an utterly terrifying prospect considering that all of the refugees that have fled the intense fighting in the East, Center and South are now packed into this western corner of the country. Our fear from the beginning in all of this was that Russian forces intend to attack every inch of Ukrainian land and destroy everything the good people of Ukraine have built.

 

As of this writing (March 28, 2022), Olya’s mother Hanna is preparing to travel with Olya's nephew Maksim (15 yrs old) across the Polish border to find safety, leaving everything that they know and so many that they love behind.

WHAT YOUR DONATIONS WILL GO TOWARDS...

 

Immediate Needs:

-We will be renting them an apartment through AirBnB in Poland (approx. $2000/month) and wiring funds via Western Union for food, water, transportation (approx. $1000/month)

 

Potential Long term needs:

-Flights to the United States

-Legal Fees for a humanitarian lawyer to process visa applications

 

Olya and I will be using our personal bank accounts and credit cards to cover these costs for Hanna and Maksim. Your generous donations will help ease the challenge of these suddenly new expenses. Should the fighting miraculously subside in the next month or two and our family are able to return home before all the donated funds are used, we will donate any unused money to an organization dedicated to rebuilding Ukraine and helping other Ukrainians.

 

We don’t know when this will end, we don’t know how it will end, but we know that your help will have an instant impact on the lives of these innocent people we love so dearly.
