Subject: Join Our Fundraising Effort

Dear Red Raider Family and Friends,

We are reaching out today with a heartfelt request to support someone very dear to us. Gus Martinez is our childhood friend. He is a kind and resilient man who has been facing life’s challenges with strength and grace. Gus has endured the loss of his mother and most recently his father. Gus also suffered a stroke which has since left him with some disabilities that have significantly impacted his life. Gus is currently in a position where he is unable to support himself. The loss of his parents and the effects of the stroke have placed him in a position where he has to lean on the support of those who are close to him for help.

We are organizing a fundraiser to help cover items such as meals and utilities that are essential for Gus’s quality of life but are unfortunately not fully covered by assistance programs at this time. We are in the process of obtaining these services for him but until then, we are seeking your assistance.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 to help to cover his day to day expenses until this process is completed.
