a special thank you from myself to everyone that Donates, but below is Jamie’s story in his own words
“My name is Jamie, and I’ve been fighting the battle of my life since December 18th, 2023, when I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It feels surreal to even write those words, as cancer is something that’s always felt distant something that happens to other people. But in an instant, it became my reality.
I had surgery to remove my testicle, and a prosthetic was put in its place. It was a hard pill to swallow, but I tried to stay hopeful. I was determined to not let cancer define who I am. However, just when I thought I could breathe again, my life was turned upside down once more.
In May 2024, while I was in Ibiza on what should’ve been a relaxing holiday, I received the worst phone call of my life. The cancer had spread to my lungs. It was diagnosed as a rare form of cancer called mixed germ cell cancer, stage 4. The shock was overwhelming. I had so many dreams, so many plans for the future, and suddenly, they all seemed so uncertain.
Since then, my life has been a whirlwind of hospital visits, chemotherapy, and a constant fight for survival. Despite undergoing multiple rounds of aggressive treatments, the cancer continued to spread. Resulting in a major operation removing 14 tumours from my right lung which grew back after a couple weeks In a cruel twist of fate, I was also diagnosed with brain cancer. I had to undergo major brain surgery to remove a tumour, and I’m now waiting on the follow-up scans to see if the operation was successful. My lungs, the original site of the cancer, have been put on the back burner for now, but I’ll eventually need stem cell transplants in an attempt to cure the cancer there as well.
Throughout this journey, I’ve been unable to work. In fact, I haven’t been able to work since August 2025, and I honestly don’t know when, or if, I’ll be able to return to a normal life. The emotional toll of fighting cancer is immense, but the financial strain of not being able to work has made it even more difficult. I’m exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This is where I need your help. I am humbly reaching out to you, my friends, family, and compassionate strangers, to help me continue this fight. The funds raised will go toward covering the cost of everyday expenses, supporting me as I navigate this incredibly challenging time, and providing for the needs I can no longer meet while I focus on my health and recovery.
I’ve come so far, and I refuse to give up. I know that this journey is far from over, but I believe with all my heart that I can overcome this. I’ve been surrounded by the love and support of so many people, and it’s this community that gives me the strength to keep fighting.
I can’t do this alone, and I’m asking for your help to continue my fight. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement means the world to me. Together, we can give me the chance to win this battle, and I can’t wait for the day when I can look back and say, “I made it.”
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, love, and kindness during this incredibly difficult time.
With deepest gratitude,
Jamie Marvill”
