Helping Our Community

Christmas has always been a time of year when I reflect on a lot of things and think about what I am grateful for. This year in particular I am grateful for my health. Those of you who know, know.. but I am on the mend and on a mission to give something back to the community. We’re going BIG this year. We have big targets to hit and a lot of people to help.. but I need your help, too.

I am kickstarting a non profit Charity fundraiser this Christmas, but I intend to keep this running for the forseeable future. Like I said, we are going BIG. First target: £30,000.

With the support from my close friend, Councillor Martin Goss; Councillors Tim Young, Mike Lilley, Dave Harris and Lee Scordis, alongside our Celebrity Sponsor, my brother, Ali Hamidi (from ITVs Grand Fishing Adventure), we are raising money for the Greenstead Food Bank, Colchester General Hospital’s Children’s Ward and for anonymously nominated local families in need.

The link to the GoFundMe page will posted in the comments, but we will also be accepting cash donations that will be in a locked and sealed box that will be kept at Silk Road Lounge and Bar, and opened by myself and 2 of the Councillors once full. 100% of the proceeds will be going to charity. I must stress that this is a NON PROFIT charity fundraiser.

I know times have been hard, but even £1 could change somebodies life. Even a single share on your own social media will go a long way.
