This upcoming June, I plan on going to the Espwa Village in Les Cayes, Haiti, with some of my close friends. We are now trying to raise funds and awareness for Free the Kids. Father Marc Boisvert started the orphanage Free the Kids with only 15 children in 1998, but now cares for more than 750 orphans and abandoned children. My friends and I are going to be staying at the orphanage in June to help around and care for the children. I hope to teach them new things and really connect with them. From this experience I hope to stay involved with the orphanage in the future and learn important life lessons and values. I now need the help from my family and friends to raise the funds for me to be able to go. My goal is to raise $1000 and awareness for the orphanage itself.
