The Great News! Thanks to an incredibly generous donation, I was able to secure legal representation with a reputable firm, ensuring the best interests of myself and my children are upheld. They have taken over on the most stressful situation and given me much hope.

This was my first time navigating this process, and I wasn't fully aware of the swift and substantial financial commitment required to retain their services. While I stand by my decision, I wish I had been more informed about the financial obligations.

Unfortunately, the retainer amount and any remaining funds for my legal account have dwindled down to a mere $162. I've just been made aware that the firm requires the account to be brought back to a minimum of $5000 to continue their representation. In my initial request, I underestimated the financial scope, thinking $15000 was more than sufficient. I now realize that I greatly miscalculated.

Since the onset of this situation, I've taken on an additional job/position, working tirelessly to keep up with all of life's demands. However, I find myself in yet another challenging position, and I'm reaching out with a humble request for support. I understand that these are tough times for many of us, and any assistance you can provide would be deeply appreciated.

My beautiful kids, Njai and Sarai, are at the center of a custody battle. They are the light of my life, and I've been a dedicated and present parent from the very beginning, pouring every ounce of love and care into their well-being. Anyone who knows us, KNOWS US. Anyone who has had the pleasure of being in their presence speaks to their bright personality and amazing intelligence, attesting to my unwavering role as their mother.

Unfortunately, the path has become unexpectedly steep, with legal fees, court costs, and unforeseen expenses accumulating at an overwhelming pace. Despite seeking assistance from legal aid and other organizations, the complexity of my case has left them unable to offer support at this time.

It's a tough situation, but my determination to provide stability and love for Njai, Sarai, and our family remains unwavering. These precious little ones don't deserve the disruptions, and my main goal is to shield them from the impacts of this situation.

I've held firm in my expectation of peace and distance to create a nurturing environment for these children. It's been a tumultuous journey, but I believe in the strength of our community to overcome these challenges.
