Please help Mathis develop into a healthy boy
On December 3rd, 2018, our beautiful son Mathis was born. He was so incredibly welcome and loved from the start. Born with a C section, but healthy and the first couple of months developing like a normal baby.
From the end of March, however, Mathis began to show strange spasms, that gradually became heavier. When we brought him to the hospital on April 6th, the doctors came to the conclusion that he has severe epilepsy, probably West syndrome. An MRI scan showed that he already had a cerebral infarction during pregnancy, causing him to develop cerebral palsy on his left side. Cerebral palsy is a condition where children have difficulty moving due to brain damage that occurred during the first year of life.
To work on Mathis his epilepsy and cerebral palsy, we found, in addition to regular healthcare, this amazing reflex integration therapy. This helps him really well to develop. You can find more information about this therapy at https://masgutovamethod.com.
Unfortunately, Marian had to stop working completely to look after Mathis. She was freelancing, so she’s not entitled to any benefits. The downside of the successful reflex integration therapy is that it's not reimbursed by health insurances. This means that we cannot pay for all extra care that Mathis needs. On top of that, we would love to give Mathis the opportunity for an intensive reflex therapy week in Belgium in October 2019 and March 2020….
Estimated costs for the next 12 months:€ 18.200. Including:
- Therapeutic costs per month (sessions and trips)± € 1.100
- Two Intensive training of five days± €2.500 at a time
Every therapist that has seen Mathis so far, tells us he has a lot of potential. We believe that with the right guidance, he can get very far in life, despite his epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
Mathis is such a sweet, calm and cheerful boy that in the months that he has been with us, he has conquered our hearts and those of many other people. He deserves to be as healthy as he possible can. Aidez Mathis à devenir un garçon en bonne santé
Le 3 décembre 2018 notre fils Mathis est né par césarienne en bonne santé. Les deux premiers mois il s’est développé comme un bébé normal.
À partir de la fin du mois de mars suivant, nous avons remarqué qu’il avait des convulsions qui sont rapidement devenues de plus en plus sévères. Le 6 avril, nous l’avons donc amené à l’hôpital où il a été diagnostiqué une épilepsie grave, probablement le syndrome de West.
Un scan IRM a montré qu’il avait déjà fait un AVC pendant la grossesse causant une paralysie cérébraledu côté gauche.
Pour contrôler l’épilepsie et diminuer les effets de la paralysie cérébrale, en plus de la science habituelle, nous avons trouvé cette incroyable thérapie d'intégration réflexe. Malheureusement, Marian a dû cesser de travailler pour s'occuper entièrement de Mathis. Elle travaillait à son compte et n’a donc pas droit aux aides sociales. Il nous est donc difficile de payer pour tous ces soins supplémentaires dont Mathis a tant besoin. En plus de cela, nous aimerions donner à Mathis l’occasion d’une semaine intensive de thérapie réflexe en Belgique, en octobre 2019et mars 2020.
Coûts estimés pour les 12 prochains mois : 18 200 € dont :

Chaque thérapeute qui a vu Mathis jusqu'à présent nous a dit qu'il a beaucoup de potentiel. Nous croyons qu’avec le bon encadrement, il peut aller très loin dans la vie malgré l’épilepsie et la paralysie cérébrale.
Mathis est un garçon si doux, calme et gai qu'au cours des mois qu’il a passé parmi nous, il a conquis notre cœur et celui de beaucoup d'autres personnes. Help baby Mathis om weer zo gezond mogelijk te worden
Op 3 december 2018 werd onze prachtige zoon Mathis geboren. Hij was zo ongelooflijk welkom en geliefd. Geboren met een keizersnee maar gezond, en de eerste paar maanden ontwikkelde hij zich als een normale baby.
Vanaf eind maart begon Mathis echter vreemde krampjes te vertonen, die geleidelijk aan zwaarder werden. Toen we hem daarvoor op 6 april naar het ziekenhuis brachten, kwamen de artsen tot de conclusie dat hij ernstige epilepsie heeft, waarschijnlijk het syndroom van West. Uit een MRI scan bleek dat hij al tijdens de zwangerschap een herseninfarct heeft gehad, waardoor hij cerebrale parese aan zijn linkerzijde heeft ontwikkeld. Cerebrale parese is een aandoening waarbij kinderen moeite hebben met bewegen als gevolg van een hersenbeschadiging die is ontstaan voor het eerste levensjaar.
Om te werken aan de epilepsie en cerebrale parese van Mathis, vonden we (naast de reguliere gezondheidszorg) een geweldige reflexintegratie-therapie. Deze helpt hem heel goed om zich te ontwikkelen. Meer informatie over deze therapie vindt u op https://masgutovamethod.com.
Helaas moest Marian volledig stoppen met werken om voor Mathis te zorgen. Ze was freelancer, dus ze heeft geen recht op een uitkering of iets dergelijks. Bovendien willen we Mathis graag een intensieve reflexintegratie-therapieweek in België geven in oktober 2019 en maart 2020....
