Hello,

My name is Max, and I am currently a Life Scout in Troop 2079 in New City, NY. I am working towards my Eagle rank in scouting. Part of earning this is planning and managing a project that will benefit the community. I choose to work on something close to me that I hope can benefit people in the future. I chose to beautify a small courtyard area in Clarkstown High School North. A portion of the school building was originally a home, and this area was originally a pool. It has since been filled with dirt, and ivy and weeds have taken over most of the yard. The stairs and walls have also gotten dirtier over time. I have spent many hours in this area while I was in high school, and I want to make it more welcoming for any other students that need a place to relax. The plan is to reseed the pool area, clean up the stairs and walls, remove the ivy and weeds, prune the bushes, plant a small tree, plant some climbing plants for a bare trellis that was intended for an earlier unfinished project, and complete a walking path around the pool area. While all the work is being done by volunteers, there are still costs for supplies, so anything you can donate to help me reach my goal would be greatly appreciated.
