Let's revamp Moynihan Playground!
Tax deductible
Help us modernized the playground to provide families safer, funner, and more interactive play!
This playground was built in 2005 and 15 years later your support will transform it. The addition of a new play area and safer play surfaces will bring the playground to modern standards. Each contribution is a step towards improving our community.
During a site visit last year, the City of Boston and DCR determined goals for improving the playground were adding access, play value, and character. Moynihan Playground is a regional resource, used by Boston and Milton families, including those throughout Hyde Park and students attending the Roosevelt School and Little Voices . By improving play surfaces, walkways, and waste management, your support will make the playground more enjoyable for everyone. In addition to enhancing the landscape, a new net climber and hill slide will provide play-based learning, enabling children to develop:
· balance
· flexibility
· spatial awareness
· endurance
· problem solving; and
· mental and physical focus
Reaching our $20K goal will leverage an additional $40K from DCR’s Partnerships Matching Funds . The $60K total will fund the design used to build the upgrades with the City’s Preservation Act .
Your tax deductible donation towards our goal will:
1. Unlock an additional $40K from DCR.
2. Create construction plans for the upgrades.
3. Allow the community to request City of Boston funds for construction.
Let's work together to invest in our community!
