Tyrel's Road to Healing Needs Your Help

My name is Jeff Barry and my wife is Debbie Barry, Bonus Mom to Tyrel Barry. We are trying to raise money for our son Tyrel who was in a terrible accident in his truck. On January 5th 2025 at 9:26pm his truck left the road on the west side of La Veta Pass due to him possibly losing consciousness due to a new medical condition. When speaking with people who were “able to describe” what happened next they said that “a branch” came through the windshield, brushing his face and continued through the rear window of the truck.”

When we saw the pictures of the truck and the “branch” still in the cab and the rear window it wasn’t a branch, it was basically the entire tree!

Had Tyrel been looking just a little bit more to the right I truly believe that the tree would have decapitated him.

In October of 2024 Tyrel had lost consciousness after a sudden drop in his oxygen and fell face first into a wall striking the left side of his face on the stud inside the wall breaking several places in his face requiring surgery to place plates in his face.

When he woke up from the accident and I began asking him if he knew what happened he thought that it Was October and he was there for the surgery he’d already had & had no idea that he’d been in an accident with his truck.

Tyrel has had surgery to repair the right side of his face (while he was still in Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs) and is still battling with some if not all the hearing loss from the zygomatic arch fractures and still has a lot to go through.

His truck is a total loss and transportation is a real challenge for him right now. His bonus mom and I can loan him our second vehicle temporarily but that won’t solve his long term transportation issues.

Between his mounting medical expenses, inability to currently work and no vehicle he could really use as much help as all of our collective friends and families can afford to help him with.
