Tyler’s Bridge Eagle Scout Project

Hello, my name is Tyler Wood, and I’m a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 440 in Monroe. I’m currently working toward achieving the rank of Eagle Scout—the highest honor in Scouting—and I’ve received approval to begin my Eagle Scout service project.

For my project, I will be constructing a 16-foot ADA-compliant footbridge at the West Point Lake Frederick recreational area in Highland Mills. This bridge will span a water drainage area and provide safe, easy access for people with mobility challenges to access a new campsite.

This is a meaningful opportunity for me to give back to the my community and the camping outdoors that I have enjoyed for many years.  I’m asking for your support to make it happen. Donations will go directly toward the materials and supplies needed to build the bridge.
