Hi friends!

 

My friend Jarid Matylewicz and I started working together when I first moved down to San Diego. We bonded over an activity we both admittedly don't enjoy but makes us feel good, running. The first 2-miler at lunch wasn't easy; however, it was the seed that blossomed into a beautiful bromance between an old man and a young Bieber want-to-be Pennsylvanian.

 

Unfortunately, Jarid has decided to leave me and move to Hawaii to be closer to his girlfriend's family. To keep our motivation as our paths diverge, we signed up for a 50k (31 miles) race in O'ahu on July 24th.

 

The heat, humidity, and lack of long-distance experience will make it a grueling race but hoping that running for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will help get us to the finish line.

 

As many of you know, my dad and other close family friends have passed away from Leukemia. We are doing this to help those that are currently fighting the cancers, for those that will, and in memory of those that have lost their fight. LLS fundraisers are the primary financial aid in advancing cancer research, allowing people to extend their lives and eventually lead to a cure.

 

Our goal is to raise $50/mile or $1,550. Any donation is greatly appreciated no matter the amount. We love you all!
