For anyone that knows me, would know, that I don’t like asking for help. I have been going back and forth with the decision on whether or not to create this fund. But after talking with some close friends and family, we decided to try.

If you know my mom then you already know how strong and amazing that she is. She is the backbone and glue that keeps our family close. She is a true inspiration, whether it is fashion or compassion, she is always the one to look up to. She has always loved the Lord and made sure her family did as well. She is funny, kind, loving and humble. She worked hard to forge her own business while creating life long friends in the process and earning many awards showcasing her talent along the way. She is a great example of what friendship and love are all about. Some may call her stubborn and quiet but I have always seen it as decisive and thoughtful. Never overreacting or judgmental but fearlessly shows understanding and a want to help in any way. I honestly don’t know what we would do without her.

All that being said we recently found out that she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This has been a tough pill to swallow and one we are still trying to digest. She is the strongest woman I know and a fighter. We are not giving up hope or surrendering. We put our faith in God and we know He will see us through this difficult time just like He always has.

She has always been there for me and anyone who needed it, so now that she needs us, we want to build an army around her. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally and financially. She really wants to take a trip with the whole family in July. To spend time with her grandkids, kids and husband to make some lasting memories and to step away for a bit from all of the stress she has been under. All of this has been very last minute not giving us enough time to properly plan and save. So here I am asking for assistance. I understand that these are tough times for everyone and know that not everyone is in a position to help financially. But we do ask to be in your prayers and thoughts as we navigate through this hardship.
