A cause I care about needs your help

Dear Friends and Family,

I'm raising money to benefit WAVES for Development International.

As the last part of my gap year, I will be traveling to Lobitos, a small village on the northern coast of Peru, to join WAVES for Development, a non-profit that works to serve local communities and inspire cultural exchange through surf experiences. 

WAVES empowers the youth in the community to pursue education, set career goals and live healthy lives. I will be volunteering at the local school as an assistant teaching English, art and physical education classes for primary school kids ages 7-12.  On weekends, I will assist in teaching environmental conservation and give surf lessons!

WAVES for Development exists entirely on donations and part of my responsibility as a volunteer is to help raise money for the organization. 100% of the money I raise with your help goes directly to expenses related to the WAVES programs in the community, including educational supplies, building materials, maintenance of their surf and sports equipment, support of the staff on site, and contributions to the homestay families.

This is an awesome non-profit and education is a cause I believe in.  I hope you will be a part of this experience and donate to WAVES.  Any contribution large or small will be greatly appreciated!
